About the course
Full course description
This audio course is a deep and practical journey into the world of “Emotional Deprivation Schema”—a schema that repeatedly makes a person feel unseen, misunderstood, and receiving far less love and support than they truly need. In this series, using a simple yet precise language, we first become familiar with the concept of schemas and essential emotional needs, and then examine three main forms of emotional deprivation: deprivation of affection, deprivation of empathy, and deprivation of support. Next, we explore the roots of how this pattern forms in childhood—from cold or unresponsive parents to experiences of rejection, emotional neglect, and emotional insecurity.
Continuing on, we analyze underlying core beliefs, hidden emotions, coping styles, and the impact of this schema on choosing an emotional partner, family relationships, friendships, and even the workplace. The second part of the course focuses on how the schema gets activated in everyday situations, the difference between real deprivation and schema activation, and then presents specialized treatment methods in schema therapy—from limited reparenting and rewriting imagery to chair work, cognitive restructuring, and strengthening the Healthy Adult.
This course is designed for those who want to better understand recurring patterns of emotional loneliness, build healthier relationships, and—rather than self-blame—begin the path to change with awareness and compassion.
